Joe Burrow calls Pat Surtain II the best CB in the league

22-year-old Pat Surtain is the best corner in the NFL according to Joe Burrow

Despite being only 22-years old, [autotag]Patrick Surtain[/autotag] II has quickly proved himself to be one, if not the best corners in the NFL. When the Denver Broncos used the No. 9 overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft on Surtain, I am not sure even they knew how good he was going to be.

After earning All-Rookie accolades in 2021, Surtain has stepped his game up in 2022 with a Pro Bowl appearance as well as being selected to the First Team All-Pro by both the AP voters as well as players.

Through his first two years in the league, the former Crimson Tide star has only given up 1,015 yards as the primary defender. He has also only given up seven touchdowns while forcing six interceptions.

Other players in the league are starting to notice the lockdown corner as well. Bengals and former LSU Tigers quarterback Joe Burrow had high praise for Surtain on Colin Cowherd‘s podcast saying, “I think he’s the best..he’s tough.”

After leading the Bengals to a Super Bowl in only his second year, Joey B has become one of the most beloved players in the league, so his praise comes in high regards.
