JJ Reddick on why Boston’s Derrick White is the most underrated role player in the NBA

The notion that Redick sees White as the most underrated role player in the NBA certainly tracks with how important the Celtics see the Colorado native.

JJ Redick found himself in trouble with fans of the Boston Celtics in the past because of his assessments of some of their all-time greats. But the former NBA player and current host of the “Old Man and the Three” podcast might find more than a few Celtics fans who would vibe with his assessment of Boston guard Derrick White.

Redick sees White as the most underrated role player in the NBA, which certainly tracks with how important the Celtics see the Colorado native to their success. If anything, they might suggest that the term role player does not quite do White justice, even if he is not a star player either.

To hear Redick’s reasoning for rating White so high, check out the clip we have embedded below from one of his most recent podcasts.
