Jimmy Horn Jr. injury vs. Texas Tech: Latest news on Colorado WR

Jimmy Horn Jr. has suffered a lower-leg injury

Midway through the first half of Colorado football’s Week 11 game at Texas Tech, senior wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. suffered an apparent lower-body injury.

The Buffs’ senior pass-catcher hadn’t recorded any catches and was removed from the game. According to Jake Schwanitz of DNVR, Horn was on the trainer’s table getting his left ankle wrapped.

Horn entered Saturday with 33 catches for 434 receiving yards and one touchdown on the season.

As of this writing, Colorado trails Texas Tech 20-17 midway through the third quarter.

Jimmy Horn Jr. injury update

Just before the second half began, Fox Sports’ Allison Williams reported that Horn suffered a lower-body injury and is questionable to return. Horn’s status hasn’t been updated since.

How long will Jimmy Horn Jr. be out?

It’s currently unclear whether Horn will return against the Red Raiders, according to Williams.

Colorado football wide receiver depth

With Horn out, Colorado will likely rely more on freshman Drelon Miller and possibly Terrell Timmons Jr., who is back in uniform after suffering his own lower-body injury last month.
