The Jets will be relatively healthy going into their Week 16 matchup against the Browns.
That said, CB Javelin Guidry (knee) is not expected to play Sunday and is listed as doubtful. WR Jeff Smith (shoulder) is questionable.
If Smith does play, he’ll be without his position coach. Assistant head coach and wide receivers coach Shawn Jefferson won’t attend the game as a result of a high-risk close contact. It’s likely that offensive assistant Hines Ward will assume Jefferson’s role as New York’s wide receivers coach.
For the second week in a row, defensive assistant Blake Williams will not attend the game. It is not illness-related.
The Jets did not practice on Friday, but the team’s injury report estimated that Josh Andrews, Jamison Crowder, John Franklin-Myers, Frank Gore, Ty Johnson, Frankie Luvu and Nathan Shepherd would all be full participants.
For Cleveland, Wyatt Teller, the team’s starting right guard, has been ruled out with an ankle injury. LB Malcolm Smith (hamstring) is questionable.
