The hope for the New York Jets was to play meaningful games in the month of December, but that will not be the case on Sunday against the Bills.
The Jets have been mathematically eliminated from postseason contention for a few weeks now. As for the Bills, they’ll be playing football in January, but they are locked into the No. 5 seed in the AFC. Essentially, this game means nothing for either team.
New York is listed as a a 1.5-point underdog against the Bills, according to BetMGM. Meanwhile, the Jets are -106 against the spread and +110 in the money line on the road.
Buffalo is -1.5-point favorites and are -115 against the spread. They are -134 in the money line.
The over/under is set at 36.5 with the over at -106 and the under at -115. The last time these teams met back in Week 1 they combined for 33 total points.
The tricky part with picking this game is that you don’t know how long the Bills will keep their starters in the game. Sean McDermott has already said the starters will play in the game, but the backups are expected to see some action too.
The Jets will have everyone who is healthy as they look to even up the season series after falling in the first game at MetLife Stadium.
