Jets announce Week 2 inactives: Will McDonald a healthy scratch

Will McDonald a healthy scratch for Week 2

The inactives are out for the New York Jets and their first-round pick is not dressing. The Jets are making Will McDonald a healthy scratch for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. McDonald played 13 snaps in Week 1 against the Bills. He was essentially pushed out, at least for now, by the returning Carl Lawson. He was simply a victim of the numbers the game on the defensive line.

Cornerback Bryce Hall is also inactive as Brandin Echols returns from his suspension. Hall was mostly a weekly inactive last season.

It was already known that Greg Zuerlein would be out with a groin injury. Austin Seibert will kick in his place this week.

The remaining inactives were also inactive in Week 1: RB Izzy Abanikanda, WR Jason Brownlee, LB Zaire Barnes and OT Max Mitchell.
