Jets and Giants likely to hold joint practice in August

The Jets and Giants are likely to hold a joint practice this summer leading up to their preseason matchup in August

The Jets and Giants square off each year in the preseason, but they haven’t practiced together in quite some time. In fact, the last time they held a joint practice session was in 2005.

That’s likely to change this year, however. According to Jordan Raanan of ESPN, the Jets and Giants are likely to hold a joint practice in August before their preseason matchup.

Art Stapleton of NorthJersey.com reports that it will probably be just one day and will be held in East Rutherford at the Giants’ headquarters, the Quest Diagnostics Training Center.

In the last joint practice between the Jets and Giants, a huge brawl broke out. It stemmed from Jeremy Shockey getting into it with Jets DBs Erik Coleman and Oliver Celestin, sparking a fight between the two teams.

Hopefully tempers won’t boil over this time around before their preseason tilt.
