Jets’ 53-man roster prediction 6.0: Preseason Week 2, Carl Lawson’s injury bring change

Check out our latest 53-man roster predictions following Carl Lawson’s injury and the Jets’ Week 2 preseason win over the Packers.

The landscape of the Jets’ 53-man roster changed dramatically when Carl Lawson was left writhing in pain with a ruptured Achilles suffered during joint practices against the Packers.

New York took the field for its preseason Week 2 matchup as it will for every game for the rest of the season — with Lawson sidelined. One player does not make up a unit, but Robert Saleh and Jeff Ulbrich’s defense was predicated largely around what Lawson brings to the table as a pass rusher from his right defensive end position. As such, New York’s defensive line rotation is now much different than it was this time last week.

With Lawson’s fate for this season sealed and Gang Green defeating the Packers on Saturday,  here is Jets Wire’s latest attempt at predicting the Jets’ Week 1 53-man roster.
