Jerry Jeudy shines in Denver Broncos training camp

Former Alabama WR Jerry Jeudy shines in his Denver Broncos training camp. Players, coaches have high praise for the once Crimson Tide star.

Former Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy put football fans on notice during the 2018 college football season, he won the Biletnikoff award that year and his name has since become commonplace when discussing top collegiate receivers.

However, it’s now time to look at Jeudy’s capabilities at the professional level. Playing against some of the best defensive talent in the country, how will he fare?

Well, according to numerous reports, the No. 15 overall selection from the 2020 draft has been the star of the Denver Broncos training camp.

Zac Stevens of DNVR reports that Broncos head coach Vic Fangio had high praise for Jeudy today.

“Jerry’s come in here and he’s got good polish as a receiver comparing him to other rookie receivers coming out of college,” said Fangio. “He runs good routes. He’s got good change of direction, good hands. It was nice to see him making a couple of plays”

Alabama fans are accustomed to watching Jeudy scare opposing secondaries, but the Broncos defenders are just now getting a taste of it.

Benjamin Albright of KOAColorado tweeted, “Jeudy looks really really good. Just put LB Josey Jewell on skates.”

Broncos safety Kareem Jackson, who also played at the University of Alabama, shared his thoughts on Jeudy, as DNVR’s Andrew Mason reported.

“I think he did some great things today, caught a few balls,” said Jackson. “It’ll just be interesting to see how he progresses from day to day and see if he keeps up that pace through camp.”

Mason also tweeted out some thoughts of his own from training camp, calling Jeudy “mesmerizing.”

In a video tweeted by the Broncos, Jeudy can be seen making a catch and someone in the background yells, “Young Moss out there!”
