Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah: ‘No heart issues at all’ in my medical profile

Rumors of a potential heart issue might have caused Owusu-Koramoah to fall to the 2nd round

It was stunning to see Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah still on the board when the Cleveland Browns traded up to select the Notre Dame linebacker with the No. 52 overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft. One of the reasons given for his fall way out of the first round was a rumor of a potential heart issue on his medical examination.

Owusu-Koramoah went on the Jim Rome Show recently and debunked any talk of a heart condition.

“There was something that came up in terms of what guys were saying,” Owusu-Koramoah told Rome. “But in terms of me, in terms of my personal aspect, there were really no heart issues at all. There was nothing that was ticked off. Going back to Notre Dame, looking at the medical records and everything, I never really had any heart issues or anything going on there.”

No actual diagnosis or even detail on what the alleged issue might be has ever been brought forward.
