Jeff Okudah generously donates to child injured in Chiefs coach Britt Reid’s car accident

Okudah is among the top donors to the GoFundMe account

Lions cornerback Jeff Okudah is showing off his generous spirit with a selfless act in the offseason.

Okudah pledged $1,000 to the GoFundMe set up to assist Ariel, a 5-year-old who was critically injured in a car crash that also involved Kansas City Chiefs LB coach, Britt Reid. The Lions CB is listed among the top donors on the site, which has now raised well over its initial goal of $100,000.

The money will go toward hospital bills and compensation for weeks of missed work for the child’s mother, per the donation site.

Reid drove his truck into two cars that were stopped alongside a freeway entrance ramp near the Chiefs’ training complex. Reid admitted he had consumed some alcoholic beverages and was also under the influence of Adderall, according to police reports.

It’s a nice gesture from Okudah to aid a family he doesn’t even know.
