Jayson Tatum makes Celtics history with latest weekly award

Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum just accomplished something no other Celtic has ever done.

The Boston Celtics are on a six-game winning streak and have supplanted the Miami Heat atop the Eastern Conference, and the stellar play of Jayson Tatum is a major reason why.

During the Celtics’ latest streak, Tatum has averaged 30.6 points, 6.3 rebounds and five assists per game – and has been rewarded with his second consecutive Eastern Conference Player of the Week honor.

Tatum is now the first player in Celtics history to win Player of the Week back-to-back. It’s worth noting that the award only dates back the 1979-80 season, so some Celtics icons never had the chance to earn the accolade.
