Jayson Tatum is playing ‘as if he’s the best player on the floor’ vs. Brooklyn Nets: Kendrick Perkins

The former Celtics champ likes what he sees from the St. Louis native against Brooklyn.

In Game 1 of the first-round series between the Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets, one thing was evident to fans and analysts: Star Celtics forward Jayson Tatum clearly looked like the best player on the court.

That might have sounded like sacrilege a few months ago, but it was clear long before Tatum hit the game-winning buzzer-beater in Celtics’ 115-114 win on Sunday

And it isn’t just us here at the Celtics Wire who saw it, either. Former Boston big man and current ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins said as much on an episode of the “NBA Today” show while breaking down the first installment of the much-anticipated series.

Is this just who Tatum is now? Or was this just a snapshot of the St. Louis native at his best?
