It really looked like it was over for the Boston Celtics late in their road game with the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night. The Celtics were poised to have their first three-game skid of the 2022-23 NBA season.
But star Boston forward Jayson Tatum wasn’t having any of that. With Jaylen Brown and his teammates, he led a furious comeback after they had squandered a 20-point lead in the game’s third quarter.
The St. Louis native exploded for 44 points (the 15th 40-point game of his career), 9 rebounds and 6 assists on a sizzling 15-of-29 shooting, including 5-of-10 from beyond the arc, and 9-of-10 from the charity stripe.
If you missed the game or just want to revel in some Tatum-fueled Laker fan tears, check out the clip of the former Duke standout’s highlights from Boston’s 122-118 win over the LA on Tuesday night.
