Jaylyn Sherrod and Quay Miller set milestones as Buffs move to 12-0

The CU women’s basketball team moved to 12-0.

It sure is good to get back on the court.

After some time off for the Colorado Buffaloes women’s basketball team, they got back to business on Friday evening against the USC Trojans.

The Buffs won easily and moved to 12-0 in the process. Moreover, both Quay Miller and Jaylyn Sherrod set milestones by scoring their 500th career point in the Buffs victory.

The Buffs continue to impress, and their 12-0 record is something to hang their hats on going forward as they push for a Pac-12 title and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2022.

Can they get there?

So far, it is looking good for the Buffs.

Colorado won 71-58 on Friday night and saw four players finish in double figures. After the game, the Buffs Twitter account got a nice quote tweet from the NCAA women’s basketball page.

That is pretty cool.

The Buffs played a total team effort once again. Mya Hollingshed finished with 18 points and eight boards to lead the way for Colorado. Miller scored 13 points and added 10 rebounds.

Frida Foremann had 15 points and Jaylyn Sherrod dominated with 15 points, eight assists and six rebounds.

They won’t have much time to rest, however, with UCLA coming on Sunday before a monster home game against No. 2 Stanford on Friday.

The next two games are more tests for Colorado and the way the Buffs are playing, things look good in Boulder.

12-0. That sounds so nice.
