Jaylen Brown’s plan after Celtics’ loss to the Pistons? ‘Focus on the positives but learn from the negatives’

Trap games may catch a team asleep at the wheel, but that doesn’t mean you can’t learn from them.

You could forgive a gunshy fan of the Boston Celtics for hitting the panic button after the Celtics’ 112 – 111 loss to the lowly Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night at TD Garden, even given it came on the heels of one of the most convincing wins of the 2021-22 season for Boston in their 135 – 87 blowout of the Philadelphia 76ers.

But when it comes to the team itself — and specifically star forward Jaylen Brown — the sentiment is not reciprocated, with the Georgia native sharing that he has always had faith in the team he plays with. Asked if the team’s nine-game streak showed him and the team that they are among the best teams in the league, Brown disagreed.

“Maybe as a group,” he suggested.
