Jayden Daniels will attend ReliaQuest Bowl despite opting out

Jayden Daniels will be there to support his teammates even though he’s skipping the game to prepare for the draft.

On Monday, [autotag]Jayden Daniels[/autotag] officially opted out of LSU’s ReliaQuest Bowl match with Wisconsin.

While Daniels left the choice up in the air for some time, this comes as no surprise given he’s done about all he can do for his draft stock and according to some mocks, already a top 10 pick.

However, Daniels said he will remain with LSU and travel with the team for the bowl.

Daniels continued, saying he wanted to support his teammates.

According to Brian Kelly, Daniels is LSU’s lone opt-out not related to the transfer portal. That confirms that [autotag]Malik Nabers[/autotag] and [autotag]Brian Thomas Jr.[/autotag] will both play, despite being potential first-round picks as well.

Jayden Daniels ranked fourth overall on Mel Kiper’s latest big board.

“Daniels has rare ability as a dual-threat playmaker,” Kiper wrote, “He can evade, elude and blow by defenders, but he also impressed with the way he can run through contact.”

With Daniels out, expect [autotag]Garrett Nussmeier[/autotag] to take over QB1 against Wisconsin.
