There is an old adage in sports: You can’t teach size. That’s the motto to live by when it comes to new Colorado football wide receiver Javon Antonio, who stands an impressive 6-foot-4, 220 pounds.
An early social media standout, Antonio has impressed with his physical play and fancy one-handed snags this summer. The former Northwestern State star has flown up projected depth charts, clocking in as a second-teamer in the eyes of DNVR’s Jake Schwanitz.
Travis Hunter and Jimmy Horn Jr. seem to be locked in as starters, but the competition between Antonio, Xavier Weaver and the freshmen duo of Omarion Miller and Adam Hopkins should be exciting to follow as we near the start of the season.
