Jason Witten plays 250th career game.

FOXBOROUGH — It’s no secret that things haven’t gone quite as planned for the Dallas Cowboys.

And owner Jerry Jones openly voiced his frustration with head coach Jason Garrett after the Cowboys came up on the short end of a 13-9 decision against the Patriots in New England on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

Things obviously didn’t go well for the Cowboys against the Patriots, but one future Hall of Famer reached a milestone in Dallas’ loss that dropped the team to 6-5 this season.

Tight end and former University of Tennessee standout Jason Witten played in his 250th NFL game last week.

Witten, who was drafted by Dallas in 2003 and briefly retired after the 2017 season to work for ESPN on its Monday Night Football broadcasts, returned in 2019.

He had one catch for five yards in his historic game.
