People talk about being “self-made” all the time, but Jalen Hurts lives the life, and after signing a 5-year, $255 million extension, he can write the book on turning adversity into a positive.
Replaced at Alabama and taken for granted after replacing Carson Wentz, Hurts has said all the right things while the Eagles and the NFL debated whether he was good enough to be a franchise quarterback.
After an All-Pro season and earning runner-up honors in the MVP voting, Hurts was rewarded with a deal that makes him the highest-paid player per season in NFL history.
