It turns out the Washington Redskins will still get to encounter Jason Garrett twice a season after all.
The former Dallas Cowboys coach isn’t staying on with the Jerry Jones-led team there despite the awkward split that ended up in the Cowboys hiring Mike McCarthy.
But Garrett isn’t leaving the NFC East either, not after the New York Giants brought him on to serve as offensive coordinator under Joe Judge.
It’s a bit of a staggering hire considering the offensive problems at times in Dallas, not to mention the struggles when it comes to in-game adjustments.
Either way, Garrett is now in a coordinator role and tasked with getting something out of young quarterback Daniel Jones, as well as weapons such as Saquon Barkley.
To say Garrett’s staredowns with Jack Del Rio this season should be interesting is an understatement.
