Jarran Reed: Seahawks vs. Cowboys will be ‘huge game for us’

The Seattle Seahawks are in a tough spot. Sitting at 6-5, with two-straight losses and three ugly blowout defeats in the last month, the excitement of the prospects for this season has started to wane. Now, they are about to enter a true murderer’s row.

After San Francisco, there’s no rest for the weary. Seattle will have to face the Dallas Cowboys tomorrow night. While the betting odds are, understandably, heavily in Dallas’ favor, the Seahawks are not giving up.

Defensive lineman Jarran Reed recently spoke to the media about the huge opportunity presented to the team by playing the Cowboys.

If there is one thing we have learned about the Seattle Seahawks under Pete Carroll, it’s not smart to count them out. When this team’s backs are against the wall, they usually find a way to strike back. If they are able to pull off the upset over Dallas, the outlook of the remainder of the season will change drastically.

On the flip side, a loss to the Cowboys would be genuinely devastating. There is still a buffer between the Seahawks and other teams outside of the playoff picture, but the margin will shrink considerably.
