Tragic news has reached Georgia running back James Cook. On Tuesday, Cook’s father, also named James, unexpectedly passed away due to complications with diabetes.
Cook’s father, also father to Minnesota Vikings’ running back Dalvin Cook, was just 46.
Sources that cover the Vikings have said that Dalvin will be flying home to Miami, missing his final NFL game of the regular season against the Detroit Lions. No news has surfaced on James’ availability for the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl this Friday, but he is now expected to miss it.

Cook leads all Georgia running backs with a 6.7 yards per carry rushing average and also has five touchdowns on top of that.
Our prayers and condolences are with the Cook family right now.
