James Bradberry would be open to Giants reunion

Philadelphia Eagles CB James Bradberry says he would be open to a possible New York Giants reunion in 2023.

When the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New York Giants in the divisional round of the NFC Playoffs, cornerback James Bradberry said it was a top-three moment in his career.

“It was kind of ironic that I got released by them and I had an impact in sending them home,” Bradberry told the New York Post. “A top-three moment in my career.”

Bradberry, of course, had been released by the Giants due to salary cap constraints. There was nothing malicious about that decision and was one general manager Joe Schoen didn’t necessarily want to make.

Still, Bradberry took it personally. He felt slighted and his Eagles teammates have expressed that on repeat all season.

Despite that, Bradberry, who will become an unrestricted free agent in March, says he would be open to a Giants reunion.

Jerome Henderson is a favorite of players around the league and is widely considered one of the best positional coaches in the NFL, so it’s no surprise Bradberry mentioned him specifically.

Of course, Bradberry will also be looking for a new contract so it makes no sense to close any doors, especially when considering the Giants’ need for more talented cornerbacks.

The Giants will have upwards of $44 million in salary cap space come free agency, but with other big contracts left to deal with (see: Daniel Jones, Saquon Barkley, Dexter Lawrence) it seems unlikely that Schoen would be willing to offer Bradberry big money.
