Jamal Adams offers apology to NFL concussion official

It was a mature move from Seattle’s star safety

Seattle Seahawks safety Jamal Adams is one of the most passionate players in the league. He is also a player who has struggled with a considerable injury history. After finally being able to play in his first game since Week 1 of last year, Adams didn’t make it even one full defensive series. The star defender took a knee to the head and was later ruled out with a concussion in a stroke of terrible luck.

Adams’ frustration was clearly palpable and understandable, but unfortunately he made a bit of a scene on the sidelines. Adams took umbrage with the NFL’s independent concussion doctor and was seen screaming at him.

But to Adams’ highest credit, he took to Twitter this afternoon to express his sincere apologies.

Again, Adams’ frustration at the situation is incredibly understandable. It was his first NFL action in 385 days, only to be cut far too short. But Adams knows his reaction in the heat of the moment was unwarranted, and showed his class and maturity.

Hopefully Adams will be ready to go when the Seahawks return in Week 6.
