Jamal Adams comments on Seattle’s tough loss to Cincy

The Seattle Seahawks fell 17-13 to the Cincinnati Bengals in a frustrating loss. Frustrating exclusively because the offense was unable to do much of anything. When looking at it from a defensive performance, it’s hard to not be encouraged.

A week after Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow torched the Arizona Cardinals, the Cincinnati offense was held to 17 total points – and only three in the second half – at home. The Seahawks defense did their job magnificently. Safety Jamal Adams had a strong afternoon, even if the was on a bit of a “pitch count.” Seattle’s star defender discussed his thoughts on the game afterwards:

Tough loss indeed, but it is still encouraging to see this unit play so well. Cincinnati is not to be trifled with, especially against the likes of Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase.

Sunday was yet another indication this defense is still continuing to improve in noticeable ways. This is obviously a positive, as I trust the Seattle offense will be able to right the ship. If they can get back to normal, and this defense continues to look sharp, the Seahawks are in a good spot.
