Jalen Hurts expected to play vs. Seahawks after missing practice with illness

Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts will play in the Eagles Monday night matchup vs. the Seattle Seahawks despite dealing with an illness

Darius Slay’s surgery news isn’t the only adversity Philadelphia is dealing with on Saturday morning.

According to Jeff McLane, Eagles All-Pro quarterback Jalen Hurts (illness) and defensive end Josh Sweat (personal) missed the week’s final practice but are expected to play Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks.

Hurts being absent is considered a precautionary move, with the team hoping to avoid widespread illness among other players.

The MVP candidate has logged 3,192 passing yards with 19 touchdowns and ten interceptions in 13 starts this season.

Hurts also has 430 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns.
