Jalen Green unveils funny first interaction with Bulls’ Michael Jordan

Jalen Green recently spoke about his hilarious first interaction with Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan.

Throughout the history of the game, the NBA has been home to many iconic superstars, but none have garnered a larger worldwide following than Michael Jordan. In the 1990s, Jordan had the Chicago Bulls on top of the world. They won six championships in eight years and dominated the spotlight for the entire decade.

Nowadays, Jordan is widely considered the greatest basketball player of all time, and many young players in the league today look up to him. During an appearance on “Podcast P with Paul George,” Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green recently revealed that his first interaction with the Bulls legend was a particularly interesting one.

Green explained that he first met Jordan in high school when he got the opportunity to attend the Michael Jordan Camp in San Diego. However, Jordan took a funny jab at Green’s apparel.

“I was young. Like, a kid,” Green said. “I went to Michael Jordan camp in San Diego. I’m walking to practice from the dorm, and I got like high socks on up to my knees, baggy shorts. Like, my swag was terrible. I got Adidas slides on, and he just walked over to me and was like, ‘You need to take them weak-ass Adidas slides off.'”

Luckily for Green, Jordan ended up helping him out.

“I look[ed] back like, ‘What you mean?'” Green said. “[He was] like, ‘You need to get some Jordan slides.’ I said, ‘Give me some.’ So he brought me some Jordan slides.”

While Jordan may have helped him out back then, Green signed on with Adidas when he entered the league. Clearly, the Jordan slides didn’t impress him enough.
