[autotag]Jake Garcia[/autotag] announced a while back that he would leave McAnally-Hilgemann Racing at the conclusion of the 2023 season. Well, a follow-up announcement has finally taken place. [autotag]ThorSport Racing[/autotag] revealed on Wednesday morning that Garcia will run a full-time schedule in the NASCAR Truck Series during the 2024 season.
The 18-year-old driver piloted the No. 35 truck for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing and ran fairly well. Garcia finished his first full-time campaign with three top-5 finishes and nine top-10 finishes in 22 races. He missed the first race at Daytona International Speedway due to being 17 years old but was able to compete in the second race following his birthday.

Overall, this is a very good move for both Garcia and ThorSport Racing. The organization lost Hailie Deegan to the NASCAR Xfinity Series so it needed a replacement. Garcia was pretty impressive in his rookie season and could be competing for wins and a championship starting in 2024.
