For the second consecutive week, Tennessee soccer player Jaida Thomas has been named Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week.
It was the fourth time this season that Thomas, a redshirt freshman forward who hails from Irving, Texas, has taken SEC Freshman of the Week honors.
Thomas had a pair of unassisted goals in the Lady Vols’ recent match against Wake Forest Saturday at Regal Soccer Stadium in Knoxville.
The match against the Demon Deacons was Thomas’ fourth multi-goal game of the spring semester. Tennessee (8-4-1) has won all four of its games since resuming play this spring.
Thomas has 12 goals this season and scored a hat trick in Tennessee’s 7-0 victory over Gardner-Webb on Feb. 14.
