McAdoo last coached in the NFL when he was the head coach of the Giants for less than two seasons before being fired in December of 2017.
His coaching tenure with the Giants came with a lot of public criticism, as he didn’t handle the media well and his benching of Eli Manning for Geno Smith was ultimately what did him in and led to his dismissal from the team.
Since then, McAdoo has remained out of the NFL, although he had tried to interview for several offensive coordinator positions in the league, but was not successfully hired.
Before taking the head coaching job for the Giants in 2016, McAdoo was the offensive coordinator for the Giants for two seasons.
McAdoo also served as the quarterbacks coach for the Green Bay Packers before coming over to the Giants and serving as an assistant for Tom Coughlin.
