Jaguars announces practice-squad player has COVID-19

A Jacksonville Jaguars player has tested positive for COVID-19.

The pandemic continues and it has reached another NFL team. The Jacksonville Jaguars are scheduled to play host to the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Then came news the team had a practice squad player test positive for COVID-19.

The problem for the NFL is if the game has to be postponed beyond this week, the Lions have already had their bye. So, that would seem to push the contest to the flexible 18th week unless there is some more juggling of the schedule.

Can you imagine how lame that would be? Matt Patricia vs. Doug Marrone in an extra week of the season? If they make it that far. Then again, if both teams continue to flail hopelessly, the NFL could wind up with a battle for Trevor Lawrence in January.
