Jags rookie LB Dylan Moses returns to practice, but remains on Reserve/Non-Football Injury list

It appears the arrow is trending upward for Dylan Moses, who the Jags placed on the NFI list to start training camp but will allow to practice as three games remain.

Alongside several other moves, the Jacksonville Jaguars announced that rookie linebacker Dylan Moses would be able to return to practice Wednesday after being placed on the NFI list at the beginning of training camp.

Moses, who went undrafted to the Jags this April, was one of the most coveted undrafted rookie free agents of April’s draft. He was eligible to be placed on the list as it’s for players who sustained injuries away from the team. In Moses’ case, his knee injury occurred while he was playing for Alabama.

Moses was one of the leaders for Nick Saban’s defense coming out of college, but concerns for his knee hurt his draft stock. He tore his ACL in fall camp before the 2019 season, but returned in 2020. However, during his return, Moses revealed that he was playing through some pain through much of his last season. That resulted in the injury diagnosis coming after Alabama’s national title win against Ohio State as Moses revealed he just pushed through the discomfort.

Moses underwent another knee surgery on Feb. 9 as a result of the pain he was enduring, but with it being so close to the draft, it prevented teams from gambling on him. However, with the Jags allowing him to practice it appears he could get a chance to see the field as three games remain, but it will be a matter of him having strong practices before the team considers activating him.
