The Jacksonville Jaguars sustained various injuries in Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, which could put them in bad shape heading into Week 12 against the Cleveland Browns. Earlier with discussed Josh Allen’s situation which is likely to keep him out this Sunday and beyond, but he’s not the only starter who could be sidelined.

Left guard Andrew Norwell, who exited Sunday’s game with an arm injury, also is expected to be out against the Browns. Jags coach Doug Marrone added that his timeline for a return was uncertain, so it could be even longer before the veteran takes the field.

Like Allen’s injury, Norwell’s is another one that just decreases any slim chance the Jags had to crawl out of a 1-9 hole as their playoff hopes are very low. While he’s been under a lot of criticism since signing, Norwell has actually had a pretty decent 2020 season and has the second-highest Pro Football Focus grade on the offensive line (69.2) aside from center Brandon Linder.

Marrone told the media that rookie Ben Bartch and Tyler Shatley would be the players receiving snaps at left guard for Norwell in practice this week. Both have registered multiple starts this year though Bartch’s have all come at right guard and Shatley’s have been at center.
