Jabari Walker’s NBA decision remains up in the air

Jabari Walker has a looming ’50-50′ decision, according to Tad Boyle

A few weeks ago, Colorado Buffaloes star Jabari Walker announced his intentions to declare for the NBA draft.

After a stellar year in Boulder, Walker even generated first-round buzz conversation and then decided to enter his name into the draft. With the new process, players can test the draft waters, get feedback, and then decide if they want to hire an agent or not before that night comes.

For Walker, his decision is looming, but it is up in the air at best, according to Tad Boyle (h/t Pat Rooney of BuffZone):

“Jabari is truly I think 50-50. I think if he has an opportunity to leave for a situation he thinks is good for him, he will. But he’s coming to school, he’s enrolled for classes next fall. So he’s doing everything right in terms of keeping his options open. But I don’t think we’re going to know anything on him until the middle part or late part of May, if not June first. There’s a lot of moving parts.”

Boyle saying Walker is 50-50 is good news for Buffs fans, especially with the loaded talent in this draft class.

Perhaps Walker is better off returning to Boulder for another season, refining his game, and improving his chances of being a higher choice in the 2023 NBA draft. Then again, if he catches the attention of scouts during the pre-draft process, maybe the time is right for him to go to the next level.
