Ja Morant, Eric Paschall and others react to the NBA trade deadline

As several players were active on Thursday, fans and NBA players alike were surprised by much of what happened prior to the deadline.

Now that the NBA trade deadline has officially passed, basketball fans can now put together the pieces of the deals that took place on Thursday and the ones that didn’t come to fruition.

Perhaps the biggest deal of the day occurred when the Golden State Warriors agreed to trade D’Angelo Russell, Jacob Evans and Omari Spellman to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Andrew Wiggins, a 2021 first-round pick and a 2021 second-round pick.

The Timberwolves badly needed a guard and finally got Russell after previously chasing him last summer.

Some of the other deals to surface prior to the 3 p.m. ET deadline:

Clippers land Marcus Morris from Knicks in 3-team trade

  • Clippers receive: Marcus Morris, Isaiah Thomas
  • Knicks receive: Maurice Harkless, 2020 first-round pick, 2023 second-round pick
  • Wizards receive: Jerome Robinson

Pistons send Drummond to Cleveland

  • Pistons receive: Brandon Knight, John Henson, 2023 second-round pick
  • Cavaliers receive: Andre Drummond

Heat, Grizzlies and T’Wolves complete 7-player deal

  • Heat receive: Andre Iguodala, Jae Crowder, Solomon Hill
  • Grizzlies receive: Justise Winslow, Dion Waiters, Gorgui Dieng
  • T’Wolves receive: James Johnson

While fans of the NBA are busy evaluating the deals that were made, players themselves were also quick to add their reactions to the transactions with many, like all of us, left in shock.
