There’s always so much movement around the NBA — especially when it’s trade deadline and buyout time. Players are constantly switching sides.
It’s easy for fans to get sort of confused in the shuffle and not know where everyone plays when the dust settles.
But who knew that was a thing for players, too? It looked like it was for Blake Griffin on Saturday night, anyway.
Griffin is the newest member of the Nets after signing there following his buyout with the Detroit Pistons. And the two sides played against each other on Saturday night.
The Pistons ended up with a dunk on one play and Griffin almost started clapping before it looked like he remembered “WHOOPS that’s not my team anymore.”
It was hilarious. The clip from Saturday is beginning to go viral on Wednesday.

To be fair to Blake, it wasn’t that long ago that he was on the Pistons still! And he hasn’t really played for the Nets yet, so it probably hasn’t sunk in that he’s changed teams.
But still, this is pretty hilarious. What a moment.
