The UFC on ESPN 14 main event between [autotag]Robert Whittaker[/autotag] and[autotag] Darren Till[/autotag] was of interest to many, but none moreso than their fellow competitors at the top of the UFC middleweight division.
Former champion Whittaker, competing for the first time since dropping the title to current champ Israel Adesnya last October, outlasted Till, the former welterweight title challenger, in a grueling matchup Saturday night at Flash Forum in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
Whittaker earned the victory by unanimous decision with across-the-board scores of 48-47. Adesanya, who seems to have moved on from Whittaker, seemed more impressed with the performance of the competitor who came up a bit short, as he mused over Twitter.
I still wanna fight Till one day.
His striking is beautiful.
Stay up Darren!

Before that fight might go down, though, Adesanya will meet Paulo Costa at UFC 235. Costa, for his part, also chimed in on Twitter, and, well, he didn’t seem too impressed.
There’s no possibility those both guys were training during quarantine. I don’t believe that. Fuck ugly fight pic.twitter.com/KEs9oVUH4M
