Isaac Washington recommits to Tennessee

Isaac Washington recommits to Tennessee.

After decommiting from Tennessee in late February, 2021 defensive tackle prospect Isaac Washington has pledged with the Vols again. Washington recommitted during his visit to Tennessee’s campus over the weekend.

Washington’s initial commitment to Tennessee was short-lived, as the prospect stepped away when Tennessee did not retain defensive line coach Tracy Rocker, who departed to join Will Muschamp’s staff at South Carolina.

The hiring of Colorado defensive line coach Jimmy Brumbaugh as Rocker’s replacement clearly had an impact on Washington, as he recommitted less than three weeks later with Brumbaugh as his primary recruiter.

Washington is a 6-foot-3, 268-pound defensive tackle who is a 3-star on the 247Sports Composite, and rated as the No. 37 defensive tackle in the 2021 class.

Washington is coveted by programs such as Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma and others.
