According to Bleacher Report’s Mo Dakhil, Boston Celtics reserve forward Sam Hauser “might be the best pure shooter” on the team.
The numbers support such a claim. He never shot less than 40% from the floor for a season and was a career 43.9% 3-point shooter in college.”
The onetime Virginia standout has become a key cog in Boston’s rotation, serving as a lethal option for the Celtics’ star wings Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown to pass to as they attack the cup.
“In the 10 games he spent in the G League last season, he shot 43.3% from 3 on 9 attempts per contest,” observed Dakhil. “In limited time in the NBA last season, the 24-year-old shot 43.2% from deep.
“This season he’s connecting on 47.9% of his 3s. He is doing that on 4.6 attempts per night while getting 16.7 minutes,” he adds.
