Is Nebraska in the lead for a class of 2026 tight end?

The Huskers are in good shape for another in-state tight end.

Nebraska football received a prediction in their favor for a class of 2026 tight end on Tuesday morning. Isaac Jensen is a three-star prospect for Millard South High in Omaha, NE. On3’s Steve Wiltfong made the prediction.

Jensen is ranked as the 27th overall tight end in the 2026 class and the top player in his class from Nebraska, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. The Huskers have landed the top player in the state over the last three classes.

Most recently, they landed four-star linebacker Christian Jones on Monday night. Jensen currently has seven offers, including offers from Florida State, Kansas, Missouri, Texas A&M, and Nebraska.

Jensen measures in at six-foot-six, 205 pounds. The Millard South product had a productive 2023 season. He recorded 26 catches for 359 yards and four touchdowns, per statistics from MaxPreps.

So far, he is off to a strong start in the 2024 season, recording 11 catches for 148 yards and two touchdowns over the course of two games this season.

The Huskers have done a solid job over the last couple of classes in landing in-state talent. Jensen will certainly be one to watch.
