Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco’s season was impacted by an injury that has kept him sidelined since Week 2.
Is Pacheco ready to make his comeback against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday?
Isiah Pacheco injury update
Pacheco fractured his fibula during the Chiefs’ matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2, which has forced him to take time away from the field.
He began participating in Kansas City’s practices last week but has yet to make his return to active status.
How long will Isiah Pacheco be out?
Pacheco is officially still on injured reserve and will not be available to play in the Chiefs’ tilt against Carolina this afternoon.
Based on comments from Andy Reid it is possible he could be activated for the Black Friday showdown with the Las Vegas Raiders, though it is unclear exactly how much longer he will need to fully recover.
Chiefs RB depth chart
During Pacheco’s absence, Kareem Hunt has been Kansas City’s starting running back. The Chiefs’ second-string rusher is Samaje Perine and behind him is Carson Steele.
This trio has been reliable while the team waits for Pacheco to recover enough to return to his role.
