With a lot riding on Game 2 of their Eastern Conference semifinals series with the Philadelphia 76ers, which started with an embarrassing home loss that put the Boston Celtics down 1-0, Boston answered with a commanding 121-87 effort on Wednesday.
Not only was the game a blowout win for Boston, but Joel Embiid’s return after winning the Most Valuable Player award for 2023 wasn’t as fruitful as Philly had hoped. On the heels of a monster performance, Sixers star James Harden was nearly nonexistent in Game 2, while Boston gave an extended run to reserve forward Grant Williams.
After a really solid performance in their win, the Celtics should seriously consider giving Grant more minutes.
Has Grant Williams earned back his spot in the rotation? Why did he lose it in the first place? Join the CLNS Media “Vitamin Cs” podcast as hosts Tim Sheils and Wayne “Breezie” Brown discuss that and more heading into Game 3 in the video embedded above.
