An illustrious spot in the Final Four of the 2023 NCAA Tournament is on the line as the Iowa Hawkeyes face off with Louisville Cardinals in the Elite Eight.
Iowa (29-6, 15-3 Big Ten) defeated sixth-seed Colorado in a hard-fought Sweet 16. Caitlin Clark led the way with 31 points and eight assists, aided by her co-star Monika Czinano’s 15 points. The Hawkeyes limited the Buffaloes to only 40.8% shooting from the field. Where they really won was at the line, shooting 79.2% on their 24 attempts.
Now, the Hawkeyes have a dance with Louisville (26-11, 12-6 ACC) for a chance at the Final Four. Louisville has faced a long road to this game, upsetting Texas and holding off a red-hot Ole Miss squad in the process.
