Jack Campbell is simply a staple of what the Iowa Hawkeyes are all about. He is consistent, intelligent, hard-working, and dedicated. Those intangibles are often not coachable. He innately has those skills.
What makes Campbell special is his athletic ability as well. His size, speed, and length allow him to play sideline-to-sideline, drop back in coverage, and stick his nose in the run game. He did it at Iowa and was good enough at it to be named the best linebacker in the nation as he was given the Dick Butkus Award.
His NFL future is not in doubt but rather a question of what team is going to get the pleasure of him manning their linebacking group for years to come. His performance at the NFL Combine cemented his status as a future NFL starter.
