Iowa Hawkeyes hand out first Division I offer to 2025 DL Joseph Reiff out of Illinois

The Iowa Hawkeyes represent the first Division I offer for 2025 defensive lineman Joseph Reiff out of Illinois.

Kelvin Bell and the Iowa Hawkeyes extended an offer to class of 2025 defensive lineman Joseph Reiff.

He is a 6-foot-5, 230 pound defensive lineman out of York High School in Elmhurst, Ill. The offer from the Hawkeyes is Reiff’s first reported collegiate offer.

Reiff is currently unranked across the major recruiting services, but with an Iowa offer now in his back pocket, it’s likely that his recruiting ranking and evaluations should begin to see an uptick.

Reiff joins the following list of Hawkeye EDGE and defensive line offers in the 2025 class per 247Sports: Amaree Williams, Jayden Woods, Chris Burgess, Gabe Kaminski, Damien Shanklin, Tyrone Burrus, Caden O’Rourke, Iose Epenesa, Nathaniel Marshall, Jaylen Williams, Juju Marks, Jason Dowell, Brandon Caesar, and Tyson Terry.

Iowa also recently sent out an offer to 2025 quarterback Stone Saunders out of Bishop McDevitt in Harrisburg, Pa. Saunders was the Pennsylvania Gatorade Player of the Year after passing for 54 touchdowns and 3,583 yards. He completed 68.7% of his passes (195-of-284) and was intercepted just five times.

While it’s certainly still early in the cycle, the Hawkeyes are still looking for their first commit in the 2025 class. Meanwhile, Iowa’s 2024 class is ranked No. 16 nationally by 247Sports.
