Iowa Hawkeyes 2023 Snapshot Profile: No. 83 Erick All

Erick All is one of Iowa’s prized transfer additions. What’s his 2023 prognosis with the Hawkeyes and “Tight End U?”

It’s rare for a team to lose the top player on their offense and not even be concerned about the position.

This offseason, Iowa lost its top weapon on offense. Tight end Sam LaPorta is on his way to the NFL, picked 34th overall by the Detroit Lions. LaPorta has been the top receiving option on the Hawkeyes for two years now, serving as a rare shining light in a dismal passing attack.

While everyone will undoubtedly miss watching Sam tear it up at Kinnick Stadium, there isn’t much panic amongst the fanbase. This is what “Tight End U” does. They produce great tight ends and always have new incoming students ready to take over.

The 2023 season will see a bit of variation in the formula for the Hawkeyes. Of course, they still have Luke Lachey. The junior was impressive last year for Iowa and looks like a perfect breakout candidate.

Joining Lachey though is former Michigan tight end Erick All. All leapt at the chance to reunite with his Michigan teammate Cade McNamara in Iowa City. Back together with his quarterback, All looks like an ideal fit for the Iowa offense and he should form a dynamic partnership with Lachey. The pairing will be the focal point of a new-look Iowa offense.

Here’s a more detailed glimpse at Iowa’s newest tight end and his 2023 snapshot profile.
