Iowa at Wisconsin: Three things to know
- The Hawkeyes enter on a two-game win streak. Despite senior C Luka Garza having his worst game of the season (8 points on 3-for-11 shooting), Iowa rolled to an 88-58 road victory at Michigan State Saturday. Junior G Joe Weiskamp scored a game-high 21 points, and the Hawkeyes covered the spread as 4-point favorites. Garza leads the country with 24.5 points per game and averages a team-high 8.4 rebounds per game.
- Wisconsin is coming off a 67-59 home loss to No. 3 Michigan Sunday. The Badgers, who were 1-point favorites, led 39-27 at the half but were outscored 40-20 in the second half. They didn’t score in the final 2:20 as the Wolverines closed with an 8-0 run, breaking away from a 59-all tie. Senior G D’Mitrik Trice leads the Badgers in scoring (13.6 PPG) and assists (3.7 APG).
- This is the first meeting between the two rivals, who will close the regular season in Iowa City, Iowa, March 7. The Hawkeyes won the lone head-to-head matchup last season, pushing as 6-point home favorites in a 68-62 victory.

Against the spread (ATS)
IOWA +1.5 (-125) is the STRONGEST PLAY – 1½ times your usual wager. Garza is too good to have back-to-back bad outings. In last season’s win vs. Wisconsin, he finished with 21 points and 18 rebounds.
Garza will make sure the Hawkeyes, who are the better team here, get the “W” Thursday night.
Plus, the road team is 7-3-1 ATS in this head-to-head series.
ATS: Iowa 12-9 | Wisconsin 10-11-1
Over/Under (O/U)
Back the UNDER 144.5 (-105) with a HALF-UNIT play in this matchup featuring the Big Ten’s No. 1 offense and No. 1 defense.
Iowa averages 87.4 PPG to rank third in the country, and they score a Big Ten-best 81.8 PPG in conference games.
Wisconsin allows 62.6 PPG to rank 21st in Division-I and surrenders a conference-best 62.7 PPG.
As they say, “something’s gotta give.”
The reason for the Under lean? Iowa’s defense has turned it up a notch over its last three games, yielding just 63.7 PPG.
O/U records: Iowa 12-9 | Wisconsin 10-11-1
