Injury Report: Warriors rookie Jonathan Kuminga (bilateral knee soreness) is out vs. Grizzlies on Tuesday

After a quick appearance in the G League, Warriors rookie Jonathan Kuminga has been ruled out against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night due to bilateral knee soreness.

With Draymond Green already set to miss Tuesday’s contest against the red-hot Memphis Grizzlies, the Golden State Warriors added another player to the injury report before tipoff.

Rookie Jonathan Kuminga has been ruled out against the Grizzlies on Tuesday due to bilateral knee soreness. Kuminga’s injury absence is expected to be short term according to Steve Kerr.

On Monday, Kuminga has recalled by Golden State’s G League affiliate in Santa Cruz for a contest against the Memphis Hustle. In an overtime victory for Santa Cruz, the No. 7 overall pick from the 2021 NBA draft tallied 11 points, eight rebounds in 30 minutes.

Through 28 games in his rookie season, Kuminga is averaging 4.9 points on 47.2% shooting from the field with 1.7 rebounds in 9.7 minutes per game.

The Warriors will meet the Grizzlies in Memphis on Tuesday at 5 p.m. PT.
