Injury Report: Warriors’ Otto Porter Jr. ruled out for Game 6 vs. Grizzlies

The Golden State Warriors will be without veteran Otto Porter Jr. for Game 6 against the Grizzlies due to right foot soreness.

With Andre Iguodala and Gary Payton II already ruled out, the Golden State Warriors added another key bench piece to the injury report for Friday’s Game 6 against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Prior to tipoff, the Warriors ruled veteran Otto Porter Jr. out for Game 6 against the Grizzlies at Chase Center due to right foot soreness. Porter Jr. was initially listed as questionable for Game 6 after exiting early in Golden State’s blowout loss in Memphis on Wednesday.

Without Payton II, Iguodala and Porter Jr., the Warriors could potentially lean on players like Jonathan Kuminga, Nemanja Bjelica and Damion Lee off the bench.

Porter Jr. provided a much-needed spark in the Warriors’ rotation during Games 3 and 4 against the Grizzlies. He drilled nine total triples on the way to registering double-figure scoring efforts in each contest. Against the Grizzlies in the second round of the playoffs, Porter Jr. is averaging 6.2 points on 44% shooting from the field with 4.6 boards, 2.4 assists and 1.2 steals in 21.2 minutes per contest.

Game 6 is set to tip-off at 7 p.m. PT on Friday night in the Bay Area.
